These flowers were set up in a large box with black felt at the back and a spot light . I only turned the spot on occasionally to study the values. This painting will be entered in the Richland Academy Winter Show in Mansfield, OHIO. 12 x 16 mat.
About Judy Fischer Walton
My purpose in life is to bring joy and healing to self and others by gaining and sharing knowledge of wholeness of body, mind and spirit. Thus, after retiring from nursing as a Psychiatric nurse, I returned to my art. I can truly say that I have more joy in my life. I constantly learn more by going to workshops and studying art books. I teach watercolor and oil and acrylic classes and hope this brings joy to my students. I truly think painting brings healing also as one of the benefits of painting is one loses oneself in the painting. There is also the comraderie of other artists.
