About Judy Fischer Walton
My purpose in life is to bring joy and healing to self and others by gaining and sharing knowledge of wholeness of body, mind and spirit.
Thus, after retiring from nursing as a Psychiatric nurse, I returned to my art. I can truly say that I have more joy in my life. I constantly learn more by going to workshops and studying art books. I teach watercolor and oil and acrylic classes and hope this brings joy to my students. I truly think painting brings healing also as one of the benefits of painting is one loses oneself in the painting. There is also the comraderie of other artists.
I work in various mediums, pastel, watercolor and oil. I am a member of the Ohio Plein Air Society and have fallen in love with plein air painting in oil. I go with friends once a week to paint outside. As it is getting colder, I am determined to continue outside. I will have to push myself to paint faster! I am now in the Gallery at OhioPleinAirSociety.com.
I do pet portraits,also
I currently have paintings in the Mansfield Art Center, The Gorman Nature Center and in the Cafe on Main in Mansfield, OH. I also teach and exhibit at the Art Cellar Gallery in Mansfield, OH.
I lived in Montana previously and loved painting the wildlife and landscape. I studied under a number of Western Artists at that time and also have done workshops with many artists over the years all who have improved my painting skills. I believe there are no mistakes, only lessons. In painting, in life. Go forward......and live happy.
